Dr.K(My Husband) just love it since the first time I made it in the instant pot. This healthy and no oil, low carb dish is the perfect example of enjoying flavor while watching your weight.

        You can pressure cook chicken breast to tender perfection and cook brown rice at the same time, in just 8 minutes!  It seasoned with a handful of pantry staple ingredients/spices, and this pressure-cooked chicken breast is undeniably addictive. You can serve it with stir-fried garlic-broccoli and steamed brown rice, or over mashed potatoes. You can even shred the meat and mix it into quick pasta or salad dishes too!

How to make quick and easy Instant Pot Tandoori Chicken Breast?
  • Wash and pat dry the Chicken Breast.
  • Prepare the spice seasoning.
  • Coat the chicken breast with the seasoning from both the sides.
  • Let it marinate for 15-30 minutes.
  • Pressure cook the chicken breast for 8 minutes.

Marinade Time: 15-30 Minutes.

Ingredients:
  • Chicken Breast 300 g 
  • Tandoori Masala Powder 1 Tsp 
  • Kashmiri Red Chili Powder 1 Tsp 
  • Onion Powder 1 Tsp 
  • Garlic Powder 1 Tsp 
  • Salt 1 Tsp 
  • Water 1 Cup

Instructions:
To Make Spice Mix/Chicken Seasoning Rub:
  • In a bowl, combine red chili powder, onion powder, tandoori powder, garlic powder, and salt and mix well. 
To Make Tandoori Chicken Breast in the Instant Pot:
  • Apply prepared seasoning all over the pat dried chicken breast. 
  • Allow the chicken to marinate for at least 15-30 minutes.
  • Add 1 cup of water to the Instant Pot insert.
  • Grease the trivet with the cooking oil and place inside the pot. 
  • Transfer the marinated Chicken breast on the trivet.
  • Close the lid of the Instant Pot and place the valve to the sealing position. 
  • Pressure Cook on Manual(Hi) for 8 minutes, followed by Natural Pressure Release. 
  • Open the lid of the Instant Pot and pull the chicken breast out of the Instant Pot with tongs and cut it into pieces.
  • Instant Pot Tandoori Chicken is ready to serve, served with brown rice, broccoli-garlic stir fry. Enjoy!!!

My Take:
  • Be sure to pat dry chicken before seasoning to avoid excess liquids and to ensure proper browning. 
  • You can broil the cooked chicken in a preheated oven for 5 minutes. 
  • Marinate the chicken for at least 15-30 minutes. 
  • If you don't have an Instant Pot, you can cook this on the grill or in the oven too.
Dietary Comment:
  • The calorie count based on a 2000 calorie diet.
  • Per serving contains 252 calories, along with 4.1 g carbohydrates, 5.2 g fats, and 43.6 g protein.
  • Portion size can always be increased or decreased depending on your health goals and activity level.
