Pineapple-Jalapeno-Cilantro Margarita: Droolsome Summer Delight! | Virgin Pineapple Margarita

Pineapple-Jalapeno-Cilantro Margarita(Non-Alcoholic)
How to Make Virgin Pineapple-Jalapeno-Margarita
Hello Foodies,
A sweet, tangy, spicy, and delicious margarita that is incredibly simple and easy to make is our new favorite! Have you ever tried a spicy Margarita? If not, then you need to try this delicious treat! This Margarita isn’t too sugary/sweet or not too spicy or tangy like other drinks. It just YUM!

I tried it last summer when we(my friends & me) went to a restaurant, and my friend had ordered it. I just had one sip, and it was damn good, since then I wanted to recreate it, and here you go, I made it.

That one sip of Pineapple-Jalapeno Margarita has changed my mind. And shocker, it worked! The rim of glass-lined with salt and Tajín(a Mexican seasoning made of salt, chili, and dehydrated lime) is perfect. I highly recommend giving it a try for your next party.

This recipe will give you 2 drinks.
Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:
To Muddle the Mixture:
  • ½ cup Pineapple Chopped
  • 3-4 slices of Jalapeno(Remove the seeds)
  • 1 Tbsp Coriander/Cilantro leaves, Chopped
  • ½ cup Pineapple Juice (I used fresh home-made Pineapple juice)
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 Cup Club Soda / Plain soda
  • Ice cubes
To Prepare the Glasses:
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Red chili powder(I used mild chili powder)
  • Few lemon slices, pineapple, and jalapenos for garnishing
Instructions:
To Muddle the Mixture:
  • Add Jalapeno slices, chopped pineapple, cilantro(fresh cilantro adds a lovely herbal flavor to the drink), sugar, and a pinch of salt in a big glass.
  • Muddle it very well with a muddler, dowel, or a wooden spoon.
  • Allow to infuse the mixture for about five minutes and pour it to the pitcher/Shaker and keep it aside.

To Prepare the Glasses:
  • Combine the salt and chili powder(you can use Tajín if you have) on a small plate.
  • Now, take a glass (a cocktail or coupe glass will do) and rub the rim with a wedge of lime/lemon.
  • Dip the glass into the salt and chili powder mixture and give it a small turn or two to coat the rim and keep it ready.
To Make the Cocktail(Pineapple-Jalapeno Margarita):
  • In the prepared glass, add ice cubes, pour pineapple juice, muddled mixture, and club soda.
  • Add jalapeno slices, pineapple chunks, cilantro leaves, and garnish with pineapple and jalapeno.
  • Stir and Enjoy!!!

Notes:
  • It can be made a few hours before, but not too much longer as citrus juice has a tendency to become bitter after extended contact with air.
  • I didn’t use sparkling water, but if you want to add it just before serving.
