Cheese Toast in a Pan on the Stovetop | Easy Breakfast Recipe: 2 Minutes Cheese Toast Recipe Without Oven and Toaster

How to Make Cheese Toast Without Oven and Toaster in 2 Minutes
Hello Foodies,
Crunchy, savory, and yummy cheese toast is the one that makes everyone drool! Recently, it became our most favorite breakfast, and because of the ease and speed of making this toast. It has to be one of the simplest and quickest breakfasts or snacks recipes ever and the creativity of an endless choice of bread, cheeses, and assorted fillings.

I use mozzarella, sharp cheddar, or Colby cheese for our sandwiches and toast in the mornings. I used a non-stick pan, but a well-seasoned cast-iron skillet would be great and let it crisp and brown, 2-3 minutes per side. This recipe is for simple cheese toast. I often serve it with lentil soup or corn chowder soup for light dinner. It tastes so good!!

There are toaster or sandwich makers in the market, but honestly, there is no need to go to the expense of buying one of these. All that is needed is a non-stick pan/tawa. I wouldn’t consider purchasing a toaster, because the best toast I have ever had is actually made on the stovetop. Here’s how I do it at home. Give it a try.

More Toast/Sandwich Recipes to Try:
Ingredients:
  • Salted Butter 1 Tbsp
  • White Bread 2 slices(you can use whole wheat bread/ your favorite one)
  • Shredded Mozarella Cheese ¼ cup
  • Red chili flakes/Ground Black Pepper
  • Oregano
Instructions:
  • Generously butter each side of the slice of bread.
  • Now, evenly spread the shredded cheese with your desired amount of butter.
  • Sprinkle with red chili flakes(ground black pepper) and oregano.
  • Meanwhile, heat a pan on medium to low flame and place the bread slice on the pan. Then cover and cook for about 2-3 minutes or until the cheese melts(by this time, the bread also gets toast properly).
  • Take them out of the pan when done and slice and serve immediately. Enjoy!!!
Recipe Variations and Notes:
  • You can top with sliced mushrooms, onions, or tomatoes (or can try all three).
  • A thick smear of green chutney/tomato sauce.
  • I have used salted butter and cheese has a slightly salty taste, so didn’t sprinkle salt. But if you can sprinkle salt to taste if you like.
  • You can top with pesto, cheese, and sundried tomatoes.
  • Or you can try this Amazing Avocado Toast and Sandwich.
