Vangi Bhath Masala Powder: Indian Food and Spices

Dried Red Chilies:
  • These red chilies rack up the heat in curries, and you can adjust quantities according to your spice levels.
  • It adds a little fiery kick to any dish, enhancing the other savory flavors without overwhelming them.
  • It also adds the bright red color to the dishes.
Cumin Seeds:
  • This strong aromatic spice has an earthy, warm, and slightly bitter taste.
  • You can find this spice in many Indian dishes, and it can be powder or seed form.

Coriander Seeds:
  • It is one of my favorite Indian spice, and I love the aroma of the coriander leaves the most.
  • This flavourful spice has a fruity, deep, and nutty taste.
  • Coriander leaves are the main ingredient in all the dishes, and they mainly use to garnish.
  • Also, it's the key ingredients in the preparation of Garam Masala.
  • Coriander seeds are good for digestion.
Cinnamon:
  • This spice has a strong sweet, spicier taste and adds a delicate sweetness to the savory as well as sweet dishes. 
  • It can be found in stick or ground form.
  • It is rich in antioxidants and helps in reducing and stabilizing blood sugar levels.
Cloves:
  • This versatile spice adds flavor to hot beverages and brings spicy warmth to dishes.
  • It has a sweet, aromatic flavor.
  • Cloves are low in calories and high in antioxidants.
  • Its antimicrobial properties may help kill harmful bacteria.
Fenugreek Seeds:
  • This spice has earthy, musky flavor and fragrance.
  • This is a popular ingredient in the making of curries and chutneys or condiments.

Ingredients:
  • Dried Red Chili 6-8
  • Chana Dal 2 Tbsp
  • Urad dal 1 Tbsp
  • Coriander Seeds 2 Tbsp
  • Cumin Seeds 2 Tsp
  • Fenugreek seeds ½ Tsp
  • Cloves 4
  • Cinnamon 1 inch
  • Oil ½ Tsp




Instructions:
  • Heat oil in a pan and add dried red chilies, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, fenugreek seeds, cinnamon stick, cloves, chana dal, and urad dal.
  • Stir and roast on medium to low flame for 4-5 minutes.
  • Let it cool and then grind to make a fine powder.
  • Aromatic, homemade Vangi Bhath Masala Powder is ready. Enjoy!!!
