Recipe :
  1. In a bowl add warm milk, yeast, and sugar, mix well and keep aside for 10 minutes. In another bowl add the bread flour ( or you can use APF), salt, milk powder, and mix well and make a well. After 10 minutes add the yeast mixture to the well and make a dough.
  2. Now add 2 tbsp butter to the sticky paste and start kneading. It will turn from a sticky mass of dough to a dough that is a dough and turns to a bowl.
  3. After almost 5 to 10 minutes of kneading, transfer this dough to a big bowl, cover and keep aside for one hour. It will double in volume after one hour, take some maida dust your hands and punch down the dough. Take out and knead for one minute.
  4. Now divide this dough into equal portions ( I made 20 equal size balls from dough) and with the rolling pin roll the dough in circular motion to make a round shape, now spread the butter over each layer of rolled dough with the help of spatula and take another rolled dough place it over first one and do the same for remaining rolled dough (as shown in the video).
  5. Cover the rolled dough with clingfilm and put it in the freezer for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes remove cling wrap and roll out the dough and divide it into 16 pieces. And roll each part as shown in the video. Place all the rolled out croissants into the baking tray. Let it rise for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes brush the croissants with milk.
  6. Preheat your oven to 320 Fahrenheit for 10 minutes and bake the croissants for 20 minutes at 320 Fahrenheit  If the croissants don't look brown, bake for some more time. Take them out immediately and brush the top part with butter. Keep aside till they cool.
