भात or sweet coconut rice taste amazing. So, try this super easy, sweet, aromatic and creamy coconut flavor Instant Pot Sweet Coconut Rice recipe. This is perfect, awesome sweet rice recipe, because of it is simple and easy to make and is irresistibly sweet and aromatic. I am sure your taste buds will be surprised by the sweet and creamy flavor of this coconut rice. So give it a try!


Preparation Time : 15 Minutes ; Cooking Time : 25 Minutes.

Ingredients :
  1. Basmati Rice 1 cup
  2. Coconut Milk ½  cup
  3. Jaggery ½ cup
  4. Salt ¼ tsp
  5. Water 1 cup
  6. Ghee / Coconut oil 2 tbsp
  7. Saffron strands 5 to 6 numbers + warm milk 1 tbsp
  8. Cinnamon stick 1 inch
  9. Cloves 2 to 3 pods
  10. Cardamom 2 to 3 pods
  11. Shredded fresh coconut 1 tsp
  12. Cashew nuts, 15 g
  13. Pistachios, sliced
  14. Almonds, sliced
  15. Raisins, 15 g



Recipe :
  1. Wash rice under tap water until clear and soak rice in water for about 30 minutes.
  2. Turn on instant pot to saute mode and add 2 tbsp of ghee or coconut oil.
  3. Add cashews and cook for a minute or till they turn brown. Take them out after cooked well.
  4. Add cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom pods and cook till release the aroma from it.
  5. Now, drain soaked rice and add to the Instant Pot and toast for a minute and keep stirring continuously.
  6. Add ½ cup of coconut milk and 1 cup of water, ½ tsp salt and mix all well. Close Instant Pot with the pressure valve to sealing.
  7. Cook on -
  • Pressure Cooking Method : High Pressure manual for 6 minutes and
  • Pressure Release Method : 5 minutes natural pressure release.
     8)  Now open the lid of Instant Pot, add jaggery, raisins, and saffron milk and mix all well.
     9)  Here, set Instant Pot to saute mode, cook for another 5    minutes.
    10)  Here, aromatic, sweet coconut rice is ready to serve. Garnish with pistachios and almonds. Enjoy!!!
