         To celebrate this Christmas festive season, I have prepared this flavorsome and elegant dessert, Gulab Jamun Pie, without eggs and gelatin. My husband and me, we both are the biggest fan of this Gulab Jamuns, so I keep prepare some different recipes with Gulab Jamuns. This unique fusion dessert is the most interesting recipe, and it is very easy to prepare at home as well. Fusion food is the latest cool concept in the culinary world, and this trend has brought Innovation at its best.
           Here, Gulab Jamuns, these
are milk solids, known as khoya are kneaded into a dough, sometimes with a pinch of flour, and then shaped into small balls and deep-fried. The balls are then soaked in a sugar syrup flavored with cardamom and saffron.
          Pies are defined by their crusts. A filled pie, pastry lining the baking dish, and the filling is placed on top of the pastry but left open. A top-crust pie has the filling in the bottom of the dish and is covered with a pastry or other covering before baking.
         The Gulab Jamun Pie, it takes the ideas from different cuisines and combines them into a single eating experience. Here, the small pieces of gulab jamuns are placed in between the pie crust and blending paneer, yogurt and sweetened condensed milk mixture; it forms such a delightful combination. So let’s get started with most amazing Gulab Jamun Pie recipe.





Preparation Time : 15 Minutes ; Baking Time : 12 Minutes ;
Cooling / Freezing Time - 3 to 4 hours.

Each piece of gulab jamun pie Contains 324 cal.

Ingredients :
  1. Pie crust 1
  2. Gulab Jamun 10 to 16
  3. Sweetened condensed milk ½ tin
  4. Cottage Cheese / Paneer 1 cup, crumbled
  5. Yogurt / curd ¼ cup
  6. Agar agar powder ½ tbsp
  7. Whole Milk ¼ cup
  8. Saffron few strands
  9. Rose essence 1 tsp
  10. Cardamom powder 1 tsp
  11. Dry fruits for garnishing

Recipe :
To Bake Pie Crust :
  1. If crust is refrigerated let stand at room temperature for 15 minutes.
  2. Slowly and gently unroll crust and place in pie plate,
    press crust against side and bottom of pan.
  3. Heat oven to 450°F, fold excess crust under and press together to form thick crust edge.
  4. Prick bottom and side with fork bake 10 to 12 minutes or until light brown, cool before filling.

To Make filling for Pie :
  1. Take a grinder and in a grinder add paneer, condensed milk, yogurt and half of milk, grind well until smooth.
  2. Meanwhile, turn on flame and place a saucepan and in a saucepan add milk and agar agar powder and mix well and cook until agar agar powder dissolved well.
  3. Now, in a bowl pour the paneer or grinded mixture and add saffron, cardamom powder and agar agar mixture and mix all well.
  4. Take pie crust / base and place a layer of gulab jamun. If the gulab jamuns are big, then cut it into half.
  5. Pour the paneer mixture or pie mixture over the gulab jamun layer and refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours.Garnish with dry fruits and cream cheese frosting.
  6. Tadaa, yummylicious gulab jamun pie is ready to serve. Enjoy!!!
My Take :
  1. Check for the sweetness and add more or less of condensed milk according to your preference.
