Why have I not used water to make pumpkin puree?
Addiction of water while blending cooked pumpkin will be loosened and more watery consistency than store-bought canned pumpkin puree. If you use it as is, the looser texture may affect baked goods, mainly any custard based baked goods, such as pumpkin pie. So, to avoid watery loosen consistency, do not add water while blending. Once blended, strain the pumpkin puree in a bowl.
