How to Make Instant  Mango Kulfi

Hello Foodies,

         Mango Malai Kesar Kulfi is a frozen dessert made with whole milk, cream, condensed milk, and flavoring ingredients like cardamoms or saffron. Totally Drool-worthy! It is super easy to make without an ice cream maker. 

Kulfi is a famous Indian homemade ice cream that is simple and easy to make! It is creamy, flavorful, and made with just five ingredients.

Preparation Time: 5 Minutes; Cooking Time: 30 Minutes;

Freezing Time: 6-8 Hours.

Ingredients:

  • Whole Milk 3 Cups
  • Heavy Cream 1 Cup
  • Mango Puree 2 Cups
  • Sweeten Condensed Milk 1 Cup
  • Ripe Mangoes (used as a container for setting Kulfi)
  • Saffron strands
  • Cardamom powder 1 Tsp
  • Chopped nuts for garnish 

Instructions:

  • Add milk to a heavy bottom pan, and cook until it starts to boil; stir at regular intervals.
  • Once it starts to boil, add heavy cream, saffron strands, and cardamom powder, and stir continuously.
  • Scrap off the sides and cook with the milk, cook until it’s been reduced to half.
  • Add condensed milk, cook for 5-10 minutes, and reduce the milk to ⅓ rd quantity.
  • Wash the mangoes well & cut the side to scoop out the pulp. 
  • Transfer the pulp to a grinding jar and blend into a fine puree. 
  • The base for Kulfi is ready.
  • Keep the flame low, add the fresh mango puree, stir continuously, and cook for 5 minutes.
  • The Mango Kulfi base is ready; let it cool down to room temperature.
  • Now, take whole mangoes and trim off the head, carefully try to remove the seed without damaging the mangoes, discard the seeds and fill the cavity with the cooled-down mango kulfi mixture.
  • Add some saffron strands at the top.
  • Freeze the Kulfi in the freezer for 6-8 hours to set. 
  • Also, pour the mango kulfi mixture into the mold and keep it in the freezer.
  • After 6-8 hours, peel the skin of the mangoes and cut them into disks with a knife.
  • Garnish with some chopped pistachios, rose petals, and saffron strands.
  • Serve immediately. Enjoy!
