Hi Friends,
Bread pudding is one of the easiest desserts to whip together and feeds a crowd of friends and family. This delicious bread pudding is made with leftover bread slices, some dry fruits and flavored with nutmeg and cardamom. It turned out to be very tasty and delicious. My husband loved this bread pudding, and I made this eggless bread pudding, and he was raving. He almost ate half of the pan. If you are craving for a dessert then this recipe can be prepared in just half an hour.

Preparation Time : 10 Minutes ; Cooking Time : 30 Minutes.
Each serving of bread pudding contains 184 calories.

Ingredients :

  1. Bread slices 6
  2. Brown Sugar 3 tbsp
  3. Milk ½ cup
  4. Butter / ghee 2 tsp, melted
  5. Vanilla essence / Cardamom powder 1 tsp
  6. Raisins 2 tbsp
  7. Cashews 2 tbsp
  8. Pumpkin seeds 2 tbsp
  9. Nutmeg powder ½ tsp
  10. Milk Masala 1 tbsp (Optional)
  11. Almond slices for garnishing (optional)

Recipe :
  1. Take bread slices, grind them into the grinder or crumble bread with your hands.
  2. Now, add milk, butter, sugar, cashew nuts, raisins, vanilla essence, milk masala and combine all ingredients using hands to make into a smooth batter(if needed add more milk).
  3. Meanwhile, grease butter to the non-stick tray / pan and pour batter in it.
  4. Top it with few more raisins and cashew nuts on the batter.
  5. Pour 1 cup of water into the instant pot and place the stand or trivet with pan into the pot.
  6. Place lid on pot and lock, and steam for 30 minutes using steam mode of the instant pot, after 5 minutes quick release (Keep vent on sealing position).
  7. Tadaa, Bread Pudding is ready to serve, let it cool down completely before serving. Enjoy!!!

My Take :
  • Remove the crust of the bread if desired (as i haven't done) or you can take whole bread, as I did.
  • Use non-stick pan or baking tray and grease with butter, it will help to release pudding easily from the round tray.
  • To make vegan version replace milk with almond milk, soy milk or coconut milk.
  • Leftover pudding can be refrigerated for 4 to 5 days.

  • Based on a 2000 calorie diet.
  • It makes 6 servings.
  • Per serving contains 184.16 calories, along with carbohydrates - 30 g, dietary fibers - 1.5 g, fats - 5.2 g, proteins - 4.46 g.

           It's good to eat bread pudding as a dessert or evening snack or tea time snack.
