How to Make Kesar Shrikhand
Hello Foodies,
Kesar Shrikhand is one of the Indian traditional sweets. On the day of the festival, people prepare various delicious foods including shrikhand. Low fat, rich and creamy hung curd shrikhand is a mouth-watering dessert, it flavored with saffron, cardamom, and dry fruits and it serves or tastes good with hot puris or it can be a standalone dessert.


Preparation and making Time: 10 Minutes.

Ingredients :
  1. Hung curd / Chakka / Greek yogurt 1 cup
  2. Saffron 1 tsp
  3. Sugar 3 tbsp
  4. Cardamom powder 1 tsp
  5. Almond powder (almonds 14.2g)
  6. Milk 1 to 2 tbsp
  7. Dry Fruits for garnish



Instructions:
         In a bowl add hung curd or chakka (chakka preparation - pour the yogurt in the middle of the cloth, pull up four corners of cloth and tie with kitchen twine, allowing the yogurt to drain at least 6 hours or up to overnight) and powdered sugar whisk it well. Now add cardamom powder, almond powder and mix all well. Meanwhile, in a small bowl take warm milk and add saffron strands. Add this mixture into a hung curd bowl. Mix all well. Whip with whisker till sugar gets dissolved and here, Dry Fruits​ Shrikhand is ready to serve, garnish with dry fruits. It tastes good with Puris. Enjoy!!!
