Onion Paratha
Hello everyone,
Onion Paratha is a simple, yet tasty and healthy food recipe. Paratha is a flatbread that originated in Indian subcontinent. Yes, it's name itself suggest, onion paratha, I used spring and white onion stuffing to make onion paratha. It's easy to make.

Preparation Time : 15 Minutes;  Cooking Time : 10 Minutes.
Total Time : 25 Minutes.
Ingredients :
  1. All purpose flour (125 g)
  2. Curd / Yogurt 25 g
  3. Salt 1 tsp
  4. Sugar ½ tbsp
  5. Butter 2 tbsp
  6. Water ¼ cup ( you can add milk too)
  7. Onion white ½  small, green onions finely chopped.

Recipe :
1) Dough :
In a flat bowl take all purpose flour, add salt, sugar, melted butter, yogurt mix all these ingredients well and add water, then knead to make a smooth, soft dough. cover with damp cloth and keep the dough aside for 15 to 20 minutes.
2) To make stuffing for paratha :
Mix finely chopped white and green onions in a bowl keep aside.
3) To make a Paratha :
Make same size balls from the paratha dough. Take one ball, roll it into 6 to 7 inches diameter on a dusted rolling board. Apply ghee or oil on the rolled paratha. Sprinkle some flour, finely chopped onions on the top, from the edges start to fold & pleat the paratha till the end ( as shown in video, along with that you will get 3 ways to make paratha ). Roll the pleated edges tightly. join the edges, lightly dust with flour and now roll into round parathas of about 6 to 7 inches in diameter. Now, turn on the flame, heat the tava, place the paratha on the tava (remember tava should be hot), turn the paratha when one side is partly cooked. Apply ghee on both  the sides. cook for a minute.flip till the parathas are browned evenly and well cooked. Press the sides with the spatula while frying the parathas. Here, onion paratha is ready, serve it with any Indian curry, dal or pickle.
